This blog is being set up so we can share with our readers / bloggers the steps we take to get our customers on the front page of Google Maps / Google Places. In this scenario, the customer came to us and said, "Vegas Computer Solutions, I want to be #1 on Google, in the San Diego, area for my jewelry store. Right now we just have a "Placeholder"website uploaded to help guide Google in it's initial learning of our new website. Once Google indexes the website, then we will upload the actual working website and start working our magic on getting it on the front page for as many search phrases as possible.

OK - Let's see how well Google's training is coming along. Let's see how our search phrases are ranking. I'm not expecting any front pager's yet, but they should be in the top 100 doing the "Google Dance" right now. We are checking for the plural of a lot of phrases because Google has categorized them individually - which is strange. Usually the plural form is treated the same for search counts - But not in this case. Since most of these are highly competitive fields, we can't afford to miss a category because of a silly "s".

We are not going to instantly pop up on the front page. We are gong to have to work for that position. Also, with all those above links, we will need to feed some serious PR juice into this blog so it can be distributed thru the links to the websites wanting front page ranking on Google.
